What We Do

United Methodist Ministries has been addressing social justice issues in Nebraska for over forty years, adapting and responding to the needs of the people we serve. Our current focus on hunger, poverty and racism is broad in scope and provides many opportunities for service.

The Big Garden

A major initiative of UMM is The Big Garden, a network of community vegetable gardens committed to bringing fresh, healthy food to those in need, and providing education in gardening, food preparation, health and nutrition. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE BIG GARDEN

Volunteer Opportunities

United Methodist Ministries relies on volunteers to help us carry out our work, and we offer a variety of opportunities to serve. Adults and youth are welcome. As an accredited Volunteers In Mission site, UMM hosts volunteer groups throughout the years, focusing on hands-on social justice work. LEARN MORE ABOUT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
